 Rating: - great workout and confidence builderI bought this VHS and book years ago and taught myself to hit the speed bag. I got real good at it. People at the gym gather around to watch me. Then I had a bad accident, the left side of my body was crushed. It has taken me years to return to the speed bag. I took out my VHS to review what I had learned and my VHS player ate my tape. Read More Rating: - Learn a fun workoutI watched all of Alan Kuhn's VHS tapes a few years ago and taught myself speedbag in about four months. This is not easy, like flailing away at the heavy bag: the speedbag requires rhythm, coordination and mental focus. You've got to watch the video in segments and then go to the gym and practice his moves. (I didn't find the book helpful; I recommend starting with the video.) He needed instruction as everyone thinks they know how to use a speed bag from watching TV, but they really don't understand how to use it correctly. This DVD is fine quality, the instructions make sense and are easy to follow and my husband is progressing very well. He loves the DVD and his speed bag. Rating: - Don't just learn to speed bag.Learn to do amazing things on the bag that most boxers never learn to do. This video teaches you all of the authors techniques and breaks them down into basic movements. It's extremely detailed but easy to follow. After just watching it once I was able to pick up a new technique in only a few minutes. I recommend it to anyone who owns a speed bag.
